These 2 pictures were taken when I was driving the paymaster to the Soviet Zone to pay the men guarding the border. The one picture is of the towers guarding the border.

These pictures are part of an 8th annual sharpshooting competition in which marksmen came from different companies around Europe to compete. Our battalion hosted this annual event. It was held during the winter of 1970 I believe. I was one of the medics to cover this event.
